Good day.

I had a very good day today. Tuesdays and thursdays are always good for me because I don’t have class, lol. I usually help out at my church (St. Camillus) on tuesday and thursday mornings. By help out I mean answer phones, drink starbucks, eat bagels, and watch Entourage. As seen below, haha (I know that I have to clean my screen).

Later a friend came over and we decided to take a walk with Magic (my dog). We had fun and I took OD pics of Magic, lol.

Then went to make a couple moves with Ricardo and I got to take pictures as he drove which is always fun. I want another rebel but I can’t bring myself to spend that kind of money right now so cybershot it is for now. I’m happy with it though. It gets the job done for the time being.

Wore these today:

Sarah Palin- Point guard.

After I got home from school today I did what I usually do. Have lunch and watch ESPN for as long as I can, lol. One of my favorite shows is Outside The Lines: First Report. For those that don’t know, it is a sports show that looks into sports in a different perspective and shows story lines that you wouldn’t really think of. Similar to E:60 (love that show too). Today they had a piece on Ms. Sarah Palin. It talks about how she used to be a sports caster. Formerly known as Sarah Heath she also was a point guard in high school. Her team lost back to back years in the state championship when she was a sophomore and junior. In March of 1982 she had her last shot at winning the state championship. As a senior, Sarah Heath was the starting point guard and co-captain of her team. Sarah says her roll on on her team was to assist mostly. Her nickname was barracuda because she was a great defensive player and fed the ball to the other players on the team. A few nights before the championship game she injured her ankle and was later diagnosed with a stress fracture. She ended playing through the pain. Scoring no points in the championship game and her team up by 4 with 10 seconds to go, she was fouled and sent to the line. Sarah made her first free throw to put their lead up at 5 and put it out of reach. It was the only point she scored in the game. The final score was 58-53 and they were 1982 Alaska State Champions. Sarah says that the state championship was a very significant time in her life because her team had overcome so much adversity and she could relate so many of the principles and lessons learned then to what she’s going through now. When asked how she thought how that contributed to her being able to be vice president she said that it helped because

“You work as a team, healthy competition is so good, all those good things that you learn out there on the basketball court are all good for lessons learned in life. The determination and the drive that we have today to do what’s right and to be victorious at the end of the day. Same lessons to apply.”

NBA Season Starts Tonight!

I love football. I really do. But to me, basketball is THE greatest sport in the world. The NBA season tips off tonight with 3 games. Cavs @ Celtics, Bucks @ Bulls, and Blazers @ LAKERS. I don’t think there’s any way that the Lakers don’t win the championship this year. They’re too deep, too talented, too good, and now they have playoff experience. The only way I see them not going all the way would be due to an injury *knocks on wood*. The Western Conference is great, as always. The East is STILL the JV conference. I don’t care that the Celtics beat us in the finals last year, the West is still a MUCH better conference from top to bottom. I’ve always liked making predictions at the beginning of the year and see how they look at the end.

Can’t wait for tonight. The only  bad thing about basketball season is that I get less sleep due to the Lakers games starting so late here in MD. Should be a great season. Enjoy it! Later.

P.S. Great win on MNF last night for Tennessee! 7-0!
